studio Kim. is a design studio that aspires to a philosophy of New Classic—a contemporary interpretation grounded in essential beauty and attuned to today’s way of living, cultural currents, and aesthetic sensibilities.
We define essential beauty as the inherent quality of materials and forms that invites a sensory response. To convey this subtle yet profound essence, we believe in refining complexity and possessing the structural intelligence necessary to realise form into physical presence.
Every material carries its own unique moment and beauty. Our approach seeks to translate these characteristics into perceptible objects by framing them through thoughtful perspectives and balanced compositions.

뉴클래식은 본질적인 아름다움을 기반으로, 오늘의 생활, 문화, 감각과 호흡하는 동시대적 조형을 뜻합니다.
‘본질적인 아름다움’이란 소재와 조형이 자연스럽게 내재한 감각을 사용자가 직접 느끼고 감응할 수 있도록 이끌어내는 힘이며, 이를 위해서는 복잡함을 정제하는 감각과, 그 조형을 실제로 구현하기 위한 구조적 설계 능력이 동반되어야 합니다.
각 소재는 고유의 아름다운 상태나 순간을 지니고 있으며, 우리는 이를 적절한 관점과 형태로 치환해, 감각 가능한 오브젝트로 구현하고자 합니다.
