Mophiq Outdoor Renewal Project

서울숲 인근에 위치한 Mophiq의 야외 공간 리뉴얼 프로젝트로, 벤치와 테이블을 포함한 외부 가구 및 공간 구성을 설계하였다. 기존 공간은 시각적 중심점이 부재하고, 동일한 높이의 기물들이 반복되며 시선의 흐름을 제한하는 문제가 있었다.

이에, 매스감 있는 요소를 최소화하고 지면과의 높이 차를 활용한 가구를 계획하였으며, 얇은 선형 구조와 부드러운 곡률이 결합된 조형을 통해 공간에 자연스러운 흐름과 시각적 포인트를 부여하였다. 자작나무 합판에는 방수 기능의 스테인 및 오일 마감이 적용되었고, 스테인리스는 판금 절곡 및 레이저 커팅 공정을 통해 정밀하게 제작되었다.
얇은 좌판 구조임에도 불구하고, A자형 다리 설계를 통해 자립성과 결합 구조를 동시에 갖추며, 안정성과 조형적 완결성을 함께 확보하였다.



This project involved the redesign of the outdoor seating and spatial configuration for Mophiq, a cafe located near Seoul Forest. The original outdoor setting lacked visual hierarchy and was composed of furnishings at uniform heights, resulting in a stagnant and congested impression.

To address this, the design minimised volumetric mass and introduced objects that subtly varied in elevation from the ground. With refined linear profiles and smooth curvature, the new elements generate a sense of flow while also acting as strong visual anchors within the space.
Birch plywood was treated with waterproof stain and oil finish, while stainless steel components were fabricated through sheet bending and laser cutting techniques for efficient and precise production. Despite the slender seat surfaces, the A-frame leg structure ensures both modular connectivity and inherent structural stability, delivering an impression of lightness paired with formal completeness
